1. Seeing my family on a regular basis. If any of my SA friends are wondering why we haven't gotten together yet, it's because I'm still soaking up the family love. But your time will come soon as I'm going to try to make good effort to set up some quality friend time.
2. Learning how to sew. Again.
I hemmed these pants. That's right, they were long and now they are short. Not a big deal you say? Well for someone short who married a someone short, I have got to get this skill up to professional level as I will be doing this for our children for the rest of my life. And yes, I have been taught how to sew before - but now I'm actually taking it seriously and giving attention to detail, because let's face it; it's crunch time. So yesterday I went over to Mama's, spent the day using her 3 sewing machines and left with 2 pairs of pants that don't drag the floor and a sense of accomplishment. We through in some thrift store shopping just to make the day extra special. It is what I hope is the first in many lessons from one fabulously talented woman.
3. Having dinners with my dad! At least once a week, Wilson and I get treated to a homecooked meal from a man that can make anything delicious. I also get access to his kitchen fully stocked with pretty much everything you can buy at Williams-Sonoma. I have been cooking lots of delicious things with the luxury of fancy tools like these Cherry Almond Vanilla cupcakes that I made for my birthday.
4. Kozmo Kitty.

It's been so long since I've had the fun of playing with a cat on a daily basis. And between his fear of the back scratcher, his feud with the black cat from next door, and the way his bow legs match my dad's, it's been a pretty entertaining few weeks. And yes, this is how he likes to sleep - with his head wedged into whatever crook you are willing to provide.
5. Getting to start the next chapter of my career with a clean slate. I've ordered business cards, made my first extrememly large purchase from West Music and starting cold calling and marketing myself to a few facilities in the area. I have potential contracts and sub-contractor posistions in the works with local schools and in home health agencies so hopefully I will be back to practicing music therapy in the next few weeks! I hope to work with all different ages and to pick up a few beginner piano students as well.
